On August 2006 I traveled to New York for 4 days. I took this trip with a good friend, Ruben, who had already visited this place before. New York is an awesome place to visit, as there is much history everywhere you look, and there are so many places to explore. New York is crazy day and night, with its non-stop road construction, 24-hour cafe’s, and events happening all the time.
During my 4-day stay in the city I did everything a tourist could wish for. I visited Time Square, Wall Street, Central Park, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Empire State Building, Broadway, and took many tours on those two-story buses. Although the weather was not the best, as it was raining 50% of the time, it didn’t slow us down. The subway is a great way to travel. I wish we had a subways in LA instead of freeways, at least I’d be able to take a little nap on my way to work.

New York is flooded with taxis. These guys drive like maniacs. I’m glad I didn’t take a taxi once, but they did almost run me over.

The famous Empire State building. A view from the bottom. We stayed about a block away from where this picture was taken. At the Gershwin.

Empire State Building. view from the 102nd floor… getting dizzy…

this is another view from the bottom.

The Brooklyn Bridge Manhattan Bridge (thanks donsnyc)

In the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of art. I got in for free! some young girl gave me her entrance pin while leaving. I know thats wrong, but I saved 20 bucks yeah! I was only there for only 2 hours anyway.

Central Park. This is an amazing area in the middle of the city – the rules in the entrance reads that no loud activities are allowed, or sports in this area.

Central Park – taking a little rest while taking a self-guided tour. I only got to the first half of the tour.

the Bethesta Fountain in Central Park

Some unknown artists help decorate the dull city. Thanks guys.

NY Stock Exchange. They no longer allow visitors inside.

Subways. a fast way to get around if you don’t mind cooking underground while waiting for the next one.

Ruben and I, on top of the tour bus. We made the best out of our 24-hour-long pass

That is not the Brooklyn bridge. That is the Manhattan bridge. It also connects the island of Manhattan to brooklyn.
